Defining the main goals forthe Forum for the Future -project ( FftF-project)
Our aim is to start a project which can serve as meaningful example for the renewal of the learning environment. This project can be used as a concrete example in our own countries as well as elsewhere in the field of new learning. Furthermore it will serve as an attempt to build a solid bridge between research and practice.
Linking Forum for the Future –project to OECD/CERI ’s 21st Century Learning and Teaching: Innovative Learning Environment –project (appendix 1)
FftF-project could be linked, if it benefits our project, to OECD/CERI ’s 21st Century Learning and Teaching as an Innovative Learning Environment –project.
Setting the goals
Our main goal is to collect best practises and there for the main questions are: * How can you use best practices from other countries to push your own system forward? * It’s not only about IT solutions, but also how to put critical thinking, creativity and social competence in learning? In addition focus areas are: * To look for new forms of assessment * To articulate tough questions and recommendations to policy makers, researchers and other intermediates to help us push our agendas forward * To diversify teaching and learning and in order to find new possibilities * To increase contacts by networking with the world (local-global) * To use the school premises, equipment and resources as effectively as possible (economy-ecology) * To innovate and experience new development projects * To produce and test new teaching methods and learning environments (virtual-physical environments)

Finance
As financial perspective, the FftF-project is ready to operate according to timetable. Other resource possibilities will be looking for. To help this process all the certificates will be put down to our wikipages in address fftf.wikispaces.com.
Method (appendix 2 / InnoSchool)
We propose a common and potential user based learning environment project. This project is to be seen as a net of innovators which promotes new and exciting learning environments in the 21st century.
Next meetings in 2009
The possibility to have next meeting during spring 2009 is considered. The Belgium/Holland unit will examine their capacity to organize it. Each country takes care of accommodation and travel costs of their representatives. Suggestions for issues to be discussed in the meeting are requested to the coordinator. The simulation seminar is submitted to be held in Spain / San Lorenzo de el Escorial in the end of year 2009. The coordinator shall propose this to Spanish officials in the meeting in Madrid 27.10.2008. Unit meetings are organized (Belgia-Hollanti / Finland-Sweden / Spain-Portugal) indipendentantly.
Practical research
Practical research will be launched according to appendix 3. Research goals will be determined by the coordinator accordingly with pre-interviews.
